When dd was born we had a tough time nursing. As she slowly learned to latch she started with the left breast, and wouldn't take the right breast at all until a couple weeks later. Then she was fine with whichever one I gave her, for a while. Now I'm pg and the supply has gone down and the taste is off, and she's preferring the left breast again. But, she's 2 and verbal enough to lay it out for me:

The right breast makes "hot milk."
The left breast makes "cool milk."

Well, that just explains it all!

LOL!

My dd didn't want my left breast at all from day one, she latched on just fine on the right one. I practically nursed her from the right one all her life. Now, when asked how my milk tastes like, she will say it tastes GREEN. She won't specify what that means to her, though.

My daughter favored my left one too. Which worked out good, because I'm right handed and so it allowed me to NAK while she was cradled in my left arm and my cross-legged right leg.
