He is pro capital punishment. Anti abortion, anti IVF and stem cell implantation. He is a proud born again Christian. He has a good relationship with his family, including his pet dogs.<br><br>
He has single handedly done more to raise the issues of illiteracy and cultural ignorance than any president in US history.<br><br>
He is friendly, affable and enjoys the outdoors. He is nice to his parents.

He will make the rich richer. The poor and the middle class poorer. He will continue to alienate the USA from worldwide politics and support. He will continue to ebb away our personal rights and freedoms. He will continue to deny the existence of global warming and encourage the degradation and destruction of the environment in the name of big business. He will continue to leave many children behind as well as teachers and their families. Most impotantly he will do what is best for himself, his friends and family. Not what is best for our country. There are just a few reasons to vote for Bush.

Because he's the first president to say:<br><br>
"Rarely is the question asked: 'Is our children learning?'"<br><br><br>
I'm sorry. I couldn't help it. . . I just. . . couldn't. . . help. . .myself.

I would really like to hear your reasons for voting for Bush.<br><br>
Does it come down to one issue for you or is it the whole package? Is there anything you don't like about Bush's policy's? BUT you are still voting for him.<br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br>
p.s. I snooped on your thread, but have since learned not to, that's why I ask.

I think it is important to note that that's very probably a doctored photo- I have seen it discussed elsewhere long ago.<br><br>
But it is funny...just as funny as any characature from the right about Kerry, Dean, et al.<br><br>
A sense of humor IS a precious jewel in times like these.<br>

Is this thread intended for why people are voting for bush or just to criticize and make fun of him? It is hard to respond with the lack of respect being shown.

I certainly think it would be interesting to see what people have to say about why they would vote for Bush. . . I promise from now on I'll be respectful. Fully.

I agree. He is the most illiterate and culturally ignorant President this country has ever had.

I won't vote for him, but:<br><br>
He is anti-abortion and fights for it.<br><br>
Same for his views on "traditional" marraige (and minority rights in general).<br><br>
He wants to protect American business interests (even when those businesses can't be bothered w/an American address & taxes <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/eyesroll.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="roll"> )<br><br>
He has a strong conviction that the US is THE BEST and believes that about it's military too.<br><br>
He supports the rights of the rich to remain rich (this is not a fakey, that is an impt thing to a lot of people).

Okay ABBers, let's lay off on the snotty remarks so we can get some real reasons here! I like a lot of the mamas who are supporting Bush although I just do not understand what they like about him. This thread is meant to be a place where we can just try to gain some insight into the other side, isn't it? Let's make it a little friendlier from here on out.<br><br>
With the way things are going on these boards I'm afraid this election is going to be a real bloodbath. So let's set a good example. Okay?

So, the government can decide life/death, but a mother can't? pretty hipocritical.

hypocritical or not, they are still valid reasons to vote for a person/support a person.<br><br>
How about the fact that many liberals encourage increased govermental involvement in a parents right to discipline their child (as to not be physical abuse) but support a parents right to kill their unborn child. Hypocracy is nothing new, nor is it one sided. If you try to always keep the "rational" opinion, you are quickly lost.
