I am pretty discouraged about my recent weight gain. I am too scared to step on the scale, but my tummy is really chubby and I seem to have gone up at least a whole pants size. Bummer!

I can't think of why the weight is coming on, but I can't get any larger. I had my thyroid levels checked, and they are normal.

Why would a person randomly put on weight, and what should I do?

Any advice/tips/ideas?

"normal" When it comes to thyroid numbers are subjective. If my TSH isn't very (I mean very .5) low then I start having symptoms.. hair thinning, cold intolerance ect.. Depending on symptoms and the actual #s (at 3 which is well within range, my hair was FALLING OUT.. bad. I had bald spots!) I'd see if you could ask your doc to do a 30 day trial of synthroid to see if it helps.

Have you been tested for PCOS and insulin resistance? Weight gain can be a symptom.
