my 6.5 month son has been ec-ing for 1 wk. he gets very wiggly at night - needs to pee, then nurse back to sleep, 2 hrs later - same thing. do you all think it's ok to still nurse him back to sleep that much at his age or am i just nursing him causing him to wake up too often to pee...cycle goes on...

i think it is completely ok to nurse back to sleep, especially at only 6 months! i still nurse my 8 mo old to sleep at night, night wakings and for every nap. he is starting to pull off prior to falling asleep every now and then, so i think we are transitioning. you little will let you know when nursing to sleep is no longer necessary

i also think the longer you ec at night the fewer the wakes to pee will be

Nurse Away! What could be better for a baby than to be nursed back to sleep by a loving mama. Besides babies need nutrition at night too--I don't know who ever decided baibes were supposed to sleep right through the night a six months but it nuts. I nurse my little one still for every waking and she's almost 18 months.
