Does anyone know what these wild berries are? They grow on trees and look like small blackberries. They are all over our neighborhood and it would be so fun for my 3 yo if they were edible.

We have 4 mulberry trees in our yard, and the kids all love eating them.

Yep, edible...will have to go out looking for some. We used to have an apartment building that was surrounded by those trees...I think I ate myself sick that spring

Looks like the snake berry pic you posted, but I don't think that is a snake berry because I tried to do more research and none of the other snake berry pics look like that. Plus on Wikipedia it says it has purple flowers...this has yellow/white flowers

hmmmm??

Okay..curiosity got the better of me...did some research. It is called a mock strawberry or She Mei (meaning snake strawberry in chinese) (lots of other names too)
