A significant part of our stash is composed of Bumkins AIOs. I love them, despite the plain flannel and nylon outers. They fit so well and are soooo cute! And trim!

I generally watch for deals and buy clothes waaaay ahead of need, and I'm so tempted by all kinds of neat FSOT posts offering large Bumkins. Thing is, my girl is a peanut. Well, average-ish weight, I guess, just really slim and small. She fits clothes mostly true to size now, but she still fits fine in 3-6 month clothes at 8 mos. Her medium Bumkins have just start to really fit her well with no leg-gap leaks. The Bumkins tend to run large, for those who aren't familiar.

They will obviously fit her for a long time. We're not EC-ing at all, but I'm still wondering if she might be done with dipes before she is too big for the mediums. I just have no idea. Is this possible/likely?

TIA!

I *personally* don't know any kids that are night-trained by two - most I know night train at around 3-4. So eventually you're going to need something large. My petite three year old, who weighs 28 pounds, wears a Large Fuzzi Bunz at night. Just so she doesn't pee the bed - she's potty trained during the day. I think cloth diapers are a wise investment, provided they are used, because you can always resell them and just say that you ended up never using them.

Our experience has been that our boys only needed Larges when their thighs were too fat for Med, but that this is a temporary baby-fat phase and once they slim down they go back to Med. So I have bought some one size diapers and larges, but all used and cheap, because it's temporary. My 12mo is at his fattest right now & wears Large. My 3yo has slimmed down & can wear Medium. If I had to guess, I'd say your DC will stay in Medium.

Marissa who is now 2 1/2 is still wearing the Medium Fuzzi Bunz so it is possible to not need larges.

My boys p/l'd in mediums and only moved up in size for their night-time pockets. So personally I wouldn't buy any larges until she is making her way there, if she does end up growing out of the mediums before p/l'ing.

I think I would wait based on your dc's build. My kiddos ont he other hand are usually in larges by 6 or 8 months, and stay in those til potty learning(which my 2 yr old is doing right now).

My three boys were in larges by 6-8 months My dd on the other hand she wears medium. She does wear large bumkins because I bought them thinking she was going to keep getting bigger and so those are the all in ones that we have, but they are too big and they don't have cross over tabs so they kinda hang on her bum, she was really chubby at 6 months (22lbs) but she is still 22lbs at 20 months just a lot taller I'd wait
