will this affect my milk supply?

I am having some medical problems and need to go for an ultrasound to check my liver, kidneys and gall bladder. I am breastfeeding a 4 1/2 month old. He gets up at least 3 times a night to feed. I am told that I cannot eat or drink past midnight the night before so I can't eat or drink for 9 1/2 hours. I am used to drinking a huge glass of water everytime I get up to feed Brody. When I wake up in the morning with my 2 1/2 year old at 6 or 7 am, I am starving! Will the 9 1/2 hours without anything to eat or drink affect my supply? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Hi Mama! I hope your test goes well. Try loading up on water and food high in protein, like cheese (if you eat dairy) and peanut butter, the night before. I doubt fasting will affect your milk supply in the short term, but you will probably be uncomfortable during. Of course, if you did fast regularly your milk supply would be affected. Toodles!
Yeah I can't do cheese....but I can do peanut butter, so I'll try that. Thanks mama.
I agree it shouldnt affect your supply if it only happens the one time! Drink alot of water to make up for it before the time frame and then after!
