I was just wondering if you guys think that what I am planning on buying for supplies will work for my 2 babies.

I would like to have a good stash going.

For my DD, 1 year:

24 Premium Chinese Prefolds
12 Wipes
6 Doublers
2 Snappi's
4 AIO's
4 Fitted or Contour

Already have:

5 Covers (2 Prorap, 3 Wiggle Worm Bottom too cute ones too )

I was wondering if I should get 12 of the Premium Chinese Prefolds and then 12 Regular because I heard that the Premium are not as trim and I would like them to be trim sometimes.

New Baby in October:

12 Infant Premium Chinese Prefolds
12 Premium Regular Chinese Prefolds
8 Covers
6 Doublers
5 AIO's
5 Fitted or Contour
12 Wipes
2 Snappi's

Then a Pail liner, possibly 2, and a wet bag.

I'm thinking of getting some wool for both babies but washing and caring for the wool kind of scares me.

So does this seem like it's good or too much or WDYT??

Not a prefold useer at all. But I was wondering if you needed smaller prefolds for a newborn? I always like easy and cute so we do fitteds and covers for a newborn. With a min of 12 to start. Then on the other 2 we have a rotation of about 24 pockets and AIO's. The oldest only uses diapers at night and when out a long time.
I would do 2 wet bags for sure so when one is in the wash. We also have a changing pad we carry when out.

I was actually thinking the same thing.

I think I might go with 12 preemie prefolds and 12 infant instead.

I know someone who is selling their newborn stash and it includes:

14 fitted (flannel outside and microfiber or suedecolth inside)
2 PUL AIO's
3 Fleece covers
2 Wool butt sweaters
1 other wool
1 PUL
1 Pocket

Do you think that would be enough for the first few months with a newborn or should I just do my original plan.

I don't really want to have to get a whole new stash after a couple of months so that's why I thought it was better to go with the Prefold, which I plan on using later anyway, and just get a couple of small fitted & AIO for the new baby.

2 wet bags is a good idea.

get more wipes!!!

Seriously, we use cloth wipes for EVERYTHING, and I always seem to run out of those before I have more clean from the laundry.

You can never have too many wipes.

And the regular cpf's are pretty big -- so you will probably want infant size for the new baby. They can always be used as spit cloths and pocket inserts later on. Also, when the infants stop fitting around the baby, you can tri-fold them in a snug-fitting wrap.

I will definately get more wipes.

I was planning on only trifolding the Prefolds from the beginning anway so will that make a difference in what size I should get.

I am now thinking for the new baby of getting

12 preemie Prefolds
12 Infant Prefolds

WDYT?

Unless you think you are going to have a really small baby I wouldn't get preemie prefolds and would get 2-3 dz infant prefolds a dz will only last about a day. I think you would get much more use out of them, like a pp post said the premium prefolds won't fit a baby for a long time. My dd was on the skinny side and hey didn't fit her till closer to a yr old. I'd probably get 4 dz wipes too. If the set you are talking about with the fitteds is listed on ebay, it is a good deal but the price may go really high before it ends.
