I just got some yarn in the mail and it is so very soft and pretty <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/love.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="love">, but I don't know if it will make a good soaker or not. It's 55% suri alpaca and 45% extra fine merino, worsted weight. What do you ladies think? If it won't be good for the soaker portion, I could just use it for the legs of longies or the skirt part of a skirtie, but it's soooo pretty that I want to order a bunch more! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

That is too much alpaca to be an effective soaker. With something that nice and soft I would either make something for myself or a baby sweater.

A baby sweater, that's a great idea! Searching ravelry for a good pattern now. Thanks for the inspiration! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin">
