We never have found out (pre-birth) the gender, and I doubt we will this time (I really can't see getting an ultrasound), but I am soooo curious this time!! I was just wondering how many of us are going to find out?!
Nope. With Sarah, we tried, but she would not open her legs (we got some awesome foot shots though
) I liked not knowing towards the end. Gave me a reason to push, so we'll be waiting again. I think dh wants to know, but he's cool with not finding out.
I found out last time, and I'll ask again this time. I get one ultrasound at around 17 weeks, so they only have one chance! They almost couldn't tell us with DS because he kept his legs firmly crossed, but she found his penis right at the end of the scan!
Nope! I have done it both ways, we found out with our first and then didn't find out or have any ultrasound with our second. I can truly say, for me anyways, it is much more exciting finding out while staring into his little face. Also it kind of helped me get through those last excruciatingly slow weeks and the long job of pushing him out.
Well, I am not planning on having an ultrasound unless something comes up where I need one, so no I most likely won't be finding out.
If something were to happen (and there is a 25% chance this baby will have the same kidney abnormality that my 6yo had) and I do have an u/s then I probably will find out. Only because I can read an u/s as well as most tech's can. LOL With Sima, I just happened to look at the screen and one point and saw right away she was a girl.
we will because we have to buy new baby stuff for this babe as ds was born in the summer. we don't pick out names or anything but we really want to know. both of us are really impatient people since there's a way to find out, i'm all for it.
I'd love to know for sure, but I can't foresee any reason for an ultrasound. Mom and I both had dreams it was a girl so I'm thinking that's a strong possibility. If I have to have an ultrasound-which hopefully I won't-I'll peek.
I'd like to, but I won't. If I do have an ultrasound, they won't tell anyway! Fortunately I'm not that crushed about it. Though it would be nice....this is the last and all.
I dont want to know ( though I think its a boy) and DH wants to . I told him ok we can go... MW gave him a book about how U/S are bad LOL we will see if it ever happens... I might only make the appointment when he asks me when it is or something otherwise I will forget.....
I have never found out with any of mine though I had an ultrasound with my first 2. With ds1 we had the type of ultrasound that is used to find congenital anomalies as my mom is in that field and her friend offered for fun. My mom knew the entire pg and actually slipped up and told me during labor though I was to involved with myself to realize it at the time. With ds2 I had an early one I think at 10 weeks just to confirm dates because I thought and still do that he was an immaculate conception or my ovulation was WAY off! I think it is so exciting not to know and to find out in the end. My dd1 was a very big surprise and I was thrown for a loop for months after!
We won't find out. One of my most treasured moments of birth was when my dh told me we had a girl. No way I'd pass that up with this one. For those who aren't finding out are your moms and mils just as peeved as mine. Yet another reason not to find out.
We're going to find out, probably fairly early. I'll be getting u/s every other week to rule out any cervical complications (high risk) starting at 18wks. So, only 6wks3d to go!
Both DH and I HATE surprises, so these last two babies were quite a shock, to say the least...DD was a birth control baby, and then 4wks pp, BOOM! we're pg again.
Can't wait!!
