Im looking for some suggestions on winter boots for my ds. He will be about 18 mo. when we need them and walking. I LOVE the robeez kind but Im not sure If they would last in the wet snow. What would/do you use?

Thats the type of shoes we use too. I wonder if they make a smilliar type of shoe but in boots that you can play in the snow with. I think a hard sole would totally throw ds off right now.

No, this is not true at all. There is no "reason" for a child to be in hard soled shoes.

The robeez booties are not especially warm and certainly not appropriate for "playing" in the snow. I got a nice pair of very warm shearling booties last year at REI for my daughter to wear when we were out in the cold, or inside during the winter. Once again though, they are not for playing in the snow, more for keeping the feet of a carried child warm (we do a lot of walking even in winter).

I don't know what I will get for walking outside this winter but I will likely go back to someplace like REI where the stuff will actually be warm.
