Silly little poll — which do you prefer? Winter or Summer? Cold or Hot? Would you rather be chilly or sweaty? Feel free to elaborate!

I prefer winter in Florida, but summer up north. I voted winter, though, because I live in FL now. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/wink1.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="wink1"> I'd rather be a bit chilly than sweaty.

I prefer summer - the warm, sunny kind though - not hot, hazy, and sticky!<br><br>
As a kid I much preferred the winter, though.

I'd much rather be cold than hot, but I had to vote summer. Now that I am a mother, I cannot stand that I can't walk outside for 4-5 months out of the year. I NEED more time outside!

I voted winter. There is only so much you can take off but you can always layer more!

Summer! I even love the humidity! In the winter, I'm either freezing or burning up, and my skin and hair and sinuses dry out. I hate it.

I prefer summer to the winter because I love being outside. I love Fall most of all <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">

I prefer winter over summer due to the fact I get heat stroke very very easily. I have to be very careful in the summer and I HATE wearing hats which I have to do all summer long.<br>
Last summer I spent from 8am to 11am outside with sunscreen and a hat and STILL was sick. I am very fair.<br><br>
Overall I prefer spring, but that wasn't the question.

I don't know which I prefer, both are horrible here in Indiana.<br><br>
I didn't really have a preference growing up because both were nice in Portland.<br><br>
I don't complain that it's cold because I want it to be 85. I don't complain about it being humid because I want 50% humidity. I complain about both because I want it to be 75 degrees and 75%, or somewhere really really close to that.<br><br>
I've been here 8 years now and I'm still not used to the whole 9X% humidity thing, it's unnatural. It should either be comfortable or raining. I'm also not used to the cold; 10 degrees is not a high it's a "more than the other temperatures but still really cold".

I'd rather be too cold than too hot but I really don't like extremes. And generally, when it is cold, it can also be quite dreary, which I am weary off. And I'll go ahead and say it, I like fall the best. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

Summer! I love it! I like swimming, water parks, sweating, frozen beverages, camping, canoeing, summer vacation!, the beach, popsicles, cold showers, humidity, boy, I just love it!<br><br>
I hate winter with a passion. It's cold and miserable and I have to wear PANTS and SOCKS and boy do I hate that. If it were up to me, I'd like in sun dresses every day of the year. I actually wear my summer dresses with pants under and a sweater over to push me through the cold, but it's not the same. My fingers and toes are always cold in winter. Ick. And then you go inside and it's hot and you get sweaty and stinky in all the clothes with no air flow, or have to pack around a bunch of winter clothes in your arms...<br><br>
I SO should not have moved from Kentucky to Michigan, huh?

That's me, too. This winter hasn't been too bad, but I'm looking back through pictures of us at the beach and feeling all wistful for summer, even though it gets hot as blazes and the mosquitos and the ticks are out everywhere and it's humid and sometimes the air quality is bad. But I'm warm! I just handle the heat much better even when it approaches 100. I'd rather it be 85, no doubt, but I can handle the 90s. The only good thing about winter is wearing my fuzzy boots.

Definitely summer. I cannot stand being cold, at all. I hate clothes, and shoes, and socks, and mittens and hats, its all so restricting. I love tanks with jeans, bare feet. Being able to head outside whenever, keep my windows open, jump in a pool. Sit on the beach. Longer days, happier kids. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/coolshine.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="sunshine"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/coolshine.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="sunshine"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/coolshine.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="sunshine"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/coolshine.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="sunshine"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/coolshine.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="sunshine"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/coolshine.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="sunshine"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/coolshine.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="sunshine"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/coolshine.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="sunshine"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/coolshine.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="sunshine"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/coolshine.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="sunshine"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/coolshine.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="sunshine"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/coolshine.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="sunshine"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/coolshine.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="sunshine"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/coolshine.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="sunshine"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/coolshine.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="sunshine">
