this is how I feel today! September is upon us, and I have a bizillion things I want to knit for this fall/winter. There is no way I will be able to do all the things I want to.

I have yarn for 4 pairs of longies, the KPS hooded vest for myself, 2 awesome yarns for socks, some great yarn for scarves and hats, yarn for a coat/jacket for my baby, blah, blah, blah .

And right now, you ask? OTN projects are crumpets (5 1/2 more inches of stockinette, over 200 stitches in a round, I'm forcing myself to do 3 rounds a day so I can finish this!), a second sock (shaping the gusset now), a pair of perfection pants (almost to the crotch), a baby sweater for a friend (back done, the rest to go), and a teddy for my little one.

Anyone else have the knitting blues?

I've decided not to make a list.

Really.

Even though I sort of have one in my head (sock for DP, bags for 3 nieces and nephew, socks for mom, something for kiddo, scarf for SIL...)

I can beat you. I have a cardigan that I desperately need and want for myself, Swing Thing for DD (no woolly jumpers. I'm a knitter. The knitting police will seriously come and take me away if I don't fix this) and then soakers and longies and stuff for DD and the new babe.

Well, I don't really have a "list" per se, but I have an idea of what I'd like to accomplish in the near future.

*Socks...for me, which will be my very first pair...woot!

*Clapotis (wrap-sized)...old news, I know, but I think it would be the perfect scarf/wrap to take with me when I have my check-up at the hospital in November

*blanket...cotton, and made from all the scraps of dishcloth cotton that I have laying around here from making all the washcloths for the nurses in the neuro-ICU

*Strawberry bag...from the newest MagKnits...I have 2 skeins of recycled sari silk waiting to go

I'm not knitting anything for my coworkers this year.
I've done crafty stuff for all of them (at least a dozen people) the past couple of years (felted soap and handmade ornaments last year and felted mocs the year before that), and the items didn't seem to go over as well as I had hoped, so I'm not wasting my time this year.

Me! I have a scarf for dd almost finished with mittens and hat to go (she was awfully jealous of all the longies I was knitting for her brother) a pair of NB longies to finish for a friend due in November, sweater and hat to do for another friend due in December, 2 more pairs of longies for ds, socks for ME, and a plethora of cupcakes I promised to friends.

What am I doing chatting with ya'll? I need to be knitting!

Ouch! Bummer. I'm sorry.

OTN/H right now I have a Harry Potter type scarf, a bag for my mom for Christmas, and a blanket for my youngest daughter.

What I have to do before Christmas is: juggling balls; scarves for dh, dd2 and ds1; hats for my ds's and my mil, and that might be it. I'm not too far out!
