What a depressing news.
Less than 18 percent of the world's lawmakers are women and 16.1 percent of ministerial posts are held by women.

On a brighter side - Scandinavian countries are not always number ones. Small African country Rwanda has 49 % of women in parliament. Sweden was second with 47% and Finland third 41,5%.

If we look at the ministrial positions, only Norway and Finland had more than half of their ministers women.

Sigh. How to change this? I find this so sad when in most countries in the world women have the right to vote.

On the bottom of the list were of course the Gulf Arab states and some small Pacific Island states.
