I switched to pocket diapers mainly because I found with a front load washer I could get them cleaner because they come apart. I have a 22 month son who is a super pee-er

I admit, I bought pretty much everything used, including 3 Wonderoos. I bought two together as a lot, and one separate. The two I bought together have the newer logo and the other has an older logo. All three now seem to leak right through the pul. I wash with Allen's, rinse, hotwash with double rinse and a bunch more rinses. I've occasionally used vinegar as well. I stuff with Jamtots hemp inserts.

Before I consider buying new ones, has any one else had this problem? Is it a problem with my wash routine? I also have a bunch of fuzzi bunz and don't think it's happening with them. I also have one mothers touch which a did buy new, and it's not happening with that one either. These things are pretty expensive and I don't have a lot of cash to throw around.

I tried writing the company but I got not response, probably because I admitted I had bought them used.

Any comments or thoughts would be welcome!

I wonder if you have build up on them. Have you tried stripping them? If hemp works in your FB, I doubt it's the issue.

I would scrub them with some Dawn and then soak for 30 minutes and then wash them. See if you have any build up.

I had that problem at first with Wonderoos too. I wasn't getting them quite tight enough on dd and the insert was slipping. I switched to Thirsties inserts and I use a large even though I snap her on the medium setting. Now they don't leak but they're not the most absorbant diapers--I have to change her after about 2 hours. With my HHs I can wait 2 1/2 and w/ FB I can usually go 3 hrs.

PUl/micro fleece pockets are fickle! If I had a nickle for everytime someone posted about how their PUL pocket was leaking I'd be a gazillionaire. Try Happy hampy's pockets with a cover. You can get them clean becuase they are a pocket, but they won't leak on you. Good luck.

I can't use *just* hemp with my boys. Otherwise my little then-1-week-old would leak out in a minute. Hemp doesn't absorb as quick as I need it to. So I sorta tri-fold a preemie ubcpf on top of a joey bunz and stuff my pocket diapers (Fuzzi Bunz and BumGenius). Cotton absorbs quickly, and adds more absorbency to the diaper. Works for both my toddler and my newborn. Still pretty trim, too.
