Good for you! I have been researching carriers today. I thought I wanted an Ergo, but after talking to a bunch of moms, both here and irl, I have changed my mind and just about decided on a MT. Now, which one... ah, nothing like a good online shopping trip!!

How fun! I'm a baby carrier addict, lol.

Dena, I love my Ergo, but I have mei teis and pouches for the newborn stage. I just ordered a babyhawk from the clearance section over at attachedtobaby.com and got a killer deal. I ordered it around 3pm. They shipped it out right away and it was on my doorstop by 10:30am the next day! I was really impressed. They were also running a special for members of thebabywearer.com, so if you're a member then you should go check that out

I'm surprised no one metioned the Didymos! THE BEST SLING EVER! You can use it day one of babe's life and it is sooo comfy. It doesn't have 'straps' so you can spread out the material if you're feeling pressure on the shoulders or any where, it's a super easy fix. It's the wrap kind, basically a long wide peice of fabric. Once you practice tying it a couple times you get really fast at it. I can tie mine in 1 minute flat! As long as it would take to put on any sling. It is also the most versitile sling ever! Front, back, foward, facing you, on the hip... you can do it all. Plus, my friend that has a three year old still carries her boy in it! I know, I should be a sales woman for them. If I had a dime for every time i get stopped in the store/mall/where ever (Where did you get that!!??)...I'd be rich! childrensneeds.com -Enjoy.

Congrats! I have a Mamma's Milk and really like it - though I've only used it with my 2.5yo! But he was able to ride in it after months of not being able to use other pouches!

I'm also looking into getting a BabyHawk, probably, for this new one - though my biggest "must have" carrier is the Hug-a-Bub. Similar to a Moby Wrap. I can't wait to have a tiny newborn swaddled and wrapped up!!

I have a ring sling, a hotsling, mei tia, and ergo. My ring sling is my most used and valuable sling. I even put my 35 pounder in there before I was pregnant. My next favorite would be my ergo. I need to get an infant insert for it but we use it a lot. My next fav would be the mei tia, DS got very hot in there and I never could get him on my back very easy by myself but I do love that carrier. My least favorite is the hotsling just because I only use it for very small babies and it isn't as versatile as the rest are.

My cousin is sending me a wrap baby carrier. I've tried one before and there is certainly a learning curve to getting your baby secure and comfortable. I would really like to get a hug a bub. If *I* were a baby that is what I'd want to ride in I also would like to get a bright Mama's milk sling because I love the look and I think it would spice up whatever boring outfit I wear that day.
