Where can I find wool fabric by the yard? I know the Very Baby site use to sell it, but I don't see it anymore. The Hancock Fabrics near me has "Wool Flannel" (fiber content not listed) in the apparel fabric section. It's like the stuff suits are made out of. Will this work for covers?

TIA

I bought mine through the covered caboose co-op on yahoo. She has 100% and also 97% wool, 3%lycra blend.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/coveredcaboose/messages

I've gotten a swatch from the stuff that's not labeled and did a bleach test on it and it had hardly any wool content in it at all. Our Hancock's does carry 100% wool flannel and it is labeled as such. It's about $18/yd. Wool flannel is not stretchy, though, so I use it for wraps.

there is very affordable wool on this site:

http://www.fashionfabricsclub.com/ca...y=Types&Page=1

type "100%" wool into the search if you dont want a blend.

it is a club you have to join to order, but its only a few dollars fee and it seems worth it to me.

good luck!

Thanks for that link! I wonder if any of these will work? http://www.fashionfabricsclub.com/ca...+Fabric&Page=2 I have some stuff from a coop that is 97% wool/3% lycra and the stuff they have is 98/2. I'm just scared to spend so much on something that might not work!

I ordered crepe and 97/3 blend from the covered caboose as well, about 6 months ago, and I love it. She is great to work with, very very quick about answering any questions you might have and the prices are great. I actually really love crepe more than the 97/3 blend, but that's just me. It's alot less expensive (like 1/2 the price!) and I like working with it better. I use 2 layers for daytime covers/longies and 3 layers for night time. It's very very trim and soft after you felt it. HTH

Thanks you guys. I do have another round coming at the end of the month. It is extra soft both in the blend and 100%. Let me know if you have any questions.
