I'm dying to try and make a wool cover. Until now, I've only worked with PUL. How hard is it to work with wool jersey and are there any tricks I should know about? Also hints for buying it? (Quality to look for and who has the better prices).

thanks

If you can sew with PUL, then you can sew wool jersey. :LOL It's not hard to sew at all. Well, I guess if you mega felted it, then it may be a little more difficult, but I never do so I can't really say. Can't help on where to buy... I got mine through a coop and she isn't doing another for a while. Oh, try www.fabriconnection.com Duh. LOL She has several colors instock.

Wool jersey is really easy to work with, but definitely be sure you wash and dry it first so it doesn't shrink so much after you sew. Also, if you buy dark colors, be aware that they may bleed (I made a wool wrap of a really pretty dark purple wool jersey, only to wake up in the am with a rally pretty dark purple stain under DS, oh well, live and learn, it did wash out in the laundry.)
