I have purchased some plain wool covers for the baby we are expecting in September. I have a friend who can do the embroidery. Do you need to do anything special to the cover to keep it from leaking or wicking? Thanks in advance!
I'm pretty sure you would want a layer of wool between the baby's bum and the embroiderey, both for wicking reasons and for comfort. I would imagine that taking your covers apart so that the embroidery goes through only 1 layer would be too much of a PITA, so what you could do is cut another layer of wool that is larger than the embroidery, then stitch it to the cover so that the inner embroidered side is completely covered.
