Ok I am really interested in getting a wool soaker and I have even chosen two brands Sugar Peas- when they have my size and Kool Sheep Soakers. but what do I put on the inside? A fitted diaper? I just received an Under the Nile dipe( after waiting 4 months) and was wondering whether DS would be wet in the morn after wearing it? I am new to wool soakers. I really want one of those pretty Sheep soakers but I am afraid of buying it then DS still peeing through it!! He pees like a camel! Anyways I just need some advice .
We have an Aristocrat wool soaker and we love it. Our daughter is 13 months and has never leaked through it. We use prefolds and at night we double them and in the morning her diapers are soaked and the inside of the wool soaker is damp but so far it hasn't leaked through and the wool soaker dries very fast. Hope this helps!
Well, there's a difference between a wool soaker, which is knit (like Kool Sheep), and a wool cover, which is sewn and has velcro or snaps (liike Sugar Peas). I make wool soakers, and they work well for overnight IF they're knit tightly. Aristocrats is a popular brand that works well and is widely available. Sugar Peas wool covers also work great at night.

You can use a fitted diaper with a doubler and wool liner under a wool cover, and that should hold even a peeing machine!

You can use your Under the Nile with your wool soaker, but definitely add a doubler- hemp is the best because it is highly absorbent and anti-bacterial; you can also get fleece topped hemp doublers, which will keep moisture away from your baby's skin.

I've used UTN fitteds and they worked but weren't super absorbent- I never tried them at night.

The best nighttime system, IMO, is a hemp diaper and doubler with a wool cover- no leaks ever!

I use either a snappied prefold with a good doubler or a Snapdragons fitted with a doubler under my soakers. Works great and no leaks. If your baby has runny poos, you will want to stick with fitteds or you may be washing your wool more than you want.
