wool weights?

what is the difference between light and medium weight wool jersey?

light weight jersey is typically thin tshirt like wool. medium weight is thicker.... our medium weight is wool interlock
I use lightweight for everything around here (have to, its hot, LOL) but I know lots of people use lightweight for around the house and medium weight for night times, etc.
