I was thinking about sewing up a wool cover with an elasticized snap in diaper. My 3 month old goes about every other day (very messy) and my 2 year old goes 2-5 times a day (long story). Would I be doomed to always be washing the wool this way?

Probably. I have two snap-ins for a wool cover, and they are my guaranteed-to-poop-in-even-if-he-just-went diapers. They do make OK nighttime diapers, though.

Ditto! It would probably make a good night diaper though.
