The director of the humane society told me that a woman came into the shelter with a stray kitten. Apparently, this woman had taken the kitten to the local crappy pet store and wanted to know if the lady who owned the store wanted it. The store owner actually told her that indeed she wanted the kitten so that she could breed it and sell the kittens! Are you kidding me??????????? Who in the world thinks it's ok to breed a stray kitten to sell it in the pet store? Do we not have 160 cats sitting in cramped cages at the humane society? What an irresponsible idiot. I'm glad the woman had the wits about her to leave the store with the kitten. I'm trying to figure out what I can do about this situation? I was thinking about writing her a letter, but wasn't sure what to say. :

Considering she went into a pet store, no I'm not surprised. They are not concerned about animal welfare, they only care about $$$$$$. It is sad that people like that are out there though
