Maybe this should be in sewing thread? But wanted to get input from wrap wearers....

a mama friend is going to make a wrap for me. She told me to just buy the fabric and pre-wash and she will measure me up. So being totally new to wearing wraps... I wonder what type of fabric to get.

DS is 10 weeks old and already 14 lbs and 24". He will be tall like his dad and looking to be pretty chunky right now (BFing). I want it to be on the cooler side, with some stretch (maybe?) and I live in WV so I need to get pretty mainstream fabric (think JoAnnes and Walmart). Any suggestions?

I LOVE unbleached cotton (muslin)! I live in Florida (really hot) and it is perfect for here! If you do get something that is stretchy (not my favorites), get something that has only some stretch to it. I have heard not so good things about wraps that are very stretchy because then every 2 minutes (not literally) the baby has to be taken out and tied all over again.
