I am so [email protected]#%#[email protected] frustrated!! So the only anti vax doc in my area is moving. I am searching for another that I won't have to argue with and I am only being met with condiscension and this GD form being waved in my face!! They even openly admit it is to cover their own asses!! How the hell does this even make sense. The doc feels the need to cover there ass for NOT doing anything, yet feels just fine shooting up every other kid that comes in with chemicals and drugs without a second thought to the consequences :. This is so backasswards! I would think you would need a signature to cover your ass in case a vax does cause harm not if the child does get sick without the vax..... AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I went back to our dr office and asked again who the new guy was that is taking over his practice, I asked the secretary if the new guy was going to expect us to sign a similar form, her response was "We SHOULD be making you sign one now." The most smug, pompous... AHHHHHH!!!!!!! I am so furious!!! I want to scream. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent.

There is a letter around here for the doctor to sign that says they take full financial responsiblity if your child is harmed by vaccines. I lost my again or I'd post it for you. If you have some time on your hands you could click on my name and search through my posts for it.

Yes doctors are working for big pharma and not for the health and welfare of the patients. Things have changed.

Here, you can use this form for the ped -

http://www.mothering.com/discussions...8&postcount=12

We had to sign one saying we were offered the vaccinations and offered alternatives for cheaper vaccinations (like the health department) and we declined them. Basically just saying the dr had offered them to us, explained the vaccines, and told us where we could get them if we couldn't afford theirs.

Fyrestorm - The only one I personally know of is the Hep B form they tried to get me to sign at the hospital. If there are forms for the rest, why don't drs/hospitals put an importance on them?

I hear about people who don't intend for their child to get any shots, but the hospital gives them the Hep B when the parents aren't looking, then the form is lumped in with the discharge papers.

I'm willing to bet none of the vax forms say the risks are X,Y,B,S,H,E,U,O,K and you consent to having the shot anyway does it?? No, by showing the parent the leaflet that tells them about VAERS they believe that is all they need to do and their asses are covered or by handing them a leaflet on all the horrible things [insert virus here] will lead to, with no info on the ill effects possible other than a little itching or red skin.

But if I don't want to vax I have to sit there through a lecture every visit about how my child will die a horrible death because I don't vax, how I am a moron for not doing it and on top of that I have to sign a form saying I am purposefully putting my child in harms way by not vaxing. This is so wrong.

Thanks for the links!

Is it bad that I am seriously considering buying the gory video game that just came out with the escapee from the insane asylum, just cause I want to take some aggression out on people in white coats???

This is exactly why we don't visit the MD. We just don't. My son is 7 and has been there once ever. For strep that he had for 7 days and we finally resorted to antibiotics.

My daughter is 4 and has never been.

Just can't stand the pompous, arrogant, know-it-all stance of doctor's offices.

basically, here in our home my kids just get adjusted regularily by their dad. Otherwise you have to be reallllyyyyy sick to go to the doctor!

Ooooh, I'd be HOT! What's the best way to prevent this from happening? The hospital/Dr I plan on delievering in doesn't do vax until 2mo (we'll be delaying) BUT I've been having PTL and may not end up here.

Sounds like I better have some forms in my bag.

I always crossed off the line about "putting my child in danger" and signed the form. Except for that line, it basically says that the dr offered the shot and I declined it. It's proof that they didn't "forget" to offer the vaccines.

pfeiff - I'm seriously considering spending the money on a doula, just in case something does go wrong, we have a set of eyes that will be assigned to the child. Last time when everything went wrong DH forgot everything we had talked about. He just chimed in and insists I put down that he had other things on his mind, like his wife looked dead and they were telling him DD had only half her blood volume.

I really don't believe forms do any good I had written down all over my "preferences" as they put it and pretty much once I was out it was like nothing I wanted mattered.
