Okay I ordered 6 premium CPF's, some snappi's, wipes and what not from a wahm right? well I got the order (quickly) but the CPF's weren't premium they were toddler sized, being my first order of 'real' CPF's I didn't really know the difference until I had washed and dried them and tried to put them on Joe, I knew they looked big, but the other PF's I have are the indian ones and I knew they were smaller. Anyway once I looked up my order (to make sure the mistake wasn't mine) and the serging color (thanks to punkin butt with the serging colors listed) and realized they were toddlers. I e-mailed the WAHM, who was extremely nice and said she was VERY sorry her DH had packed the package and she would send out the premiums right away, I could just keep the toddler ones. I didn't expect that but she was very nice letting me keep the toddler ones too, (which I happen to love now).

Okay when the new ones came I washed them up and got them on Joe, I have been using them regularly now for a while (the order was about a month ago) and I didn't even think to check that she sent the right prefolds I never looked up the fact that they should have had blue stitching (my indian ones are white, but I guess they are supposed to be?) these are my only 'white' prefolds my others are UB, so I know I am not confusing them, I thought they were thinner than the others, but the indian ones are so much fluffier, I just thought it was the difference it never occured to me that she sent regular prefolds and not the premium ones I paid for.

Well today I was trimming the prefolds (like Karen showed) I wanted to try it out with a few of them. Anyway as I cut them off, I thought "okay I will make sure these are the same thickness" they should have been 4x8x4 but they are 4x6x4 and I looked it up they should have had BLUE stitching not white. *sigh* I feel horrible about having the wrong prefolds AGAIN specially since she fixed it once.

What would you do? would you e-mail and tell the WAHM? she is popular, she has great service, but now if I do e-mail her I think I will feel like I am asking her for more free stuff, which I am not, I just thought maybe she should know she still sent me the wrong thing? There is a $2 difference in the price of what she sent me and what I got, but I figure that it isn't a big deal since she did end up giving me 6 free toddler prefolds due to her error.

Anyway what do I do?
I am bummed about having regular prefolds, I wondered why they didn't work as well, but still I will use them, and now that I trimmed a few I think they will be much better as I have extra in the soaker area now. I don't want this WAHM to feel like I am mooching, or even asking for more free stuff, but then again she did get the order wrong again and that isn't right either? HELP ME! Do I contact her or do I just forget it and buy some premiums when I have the cash?

Hi Marnie,
I definitely think you should e-mail the WAHM and let her know that you got the wrong diapers. There is nothing wrong with that at all. If you do want the difference in cost back, then you can ask her for it...if you feel that having the other pre-folds is enough compensation, then tell her that. Let her know that you think she should know what happened so that who ever is packaging her items will be more careful in the future.

ok...well according to my husband I could sometimes be viewed as confrontational
(so take this for what it is worth
)

I would go ahead and email her the whole thing. I would state that you had suspected something was up....but you were not sure. Anyhow, your suspicions were confirmed when you cut the diaper open. And I would leave ilt at that and let her respond. I might point out that you have had 2 issues now with this same order....

I would think if she was truly top notch she would just send you a few CPFs as replacements (pro bono)...that is what I would do just to keep good relations (since is was a constant irrititation with the order).

I can totally understand how you'd be frustrated. However, if I were the WAHM, I would wonder why you didn't check them before you washed them so I could immediately correct the problem and get the wrong stuff back so it could be resold. Most places don't take used products back, even if they're wrong. (And I don't think it's fair to expect WAHMs who don't make millions to do that either.)

Okay after getting many opinions on this deal, this is what I decided (and did) I had a few people tell me to e-mail her and say that I want my premiums and I should have gotten them no matter what, and I had some say I shouldn't even e-mail her, after all I am 6 toddler prefolds up (which don't fit yet but will, he does like to play with them and I use it as a changing pad). Anyway I figured, as a WAHM myself, I would want to know.

I went ahead and e-mailed this WAHM and told her that I had just discovered the mistake, and I certianly didn't expect her to send me another set of diapers (the ones I actually ordered) but that I wanted her to know that they were messed up again, and that maybe she needed to organize her packing area with a list of what serging went with what diaper size? If anyone knows how confusing things can get with kids around the house it is me

I saw on her site that she is gone for a fall break from the 8th until the 12th, so I don't know if I will get a reply back before she is on 'break' or if I will get one back after the 12th. She has been very prompt about responding, and honestly she has been great about this, only wish I had gotten the right order. I would order from her again from the service stand point, and I loved the wipes!

Ohhh, that is tough. Having sent you the wrong item the first time you would think that one would make double sure to get it right the second time.

So you ended up with 12 prefolds for the price of 6 and you have already cut up 6 of them? If only one is cut (and you discovered the error) then I would think you are correct in expecting a refund... but if you cut them all then that is where I would get sketchy. If you cut one and find something wrong with it that is when you put down the shears.

I think she needs to know about the error regardless. Just let her know what you would like her to do. (refund difference, send new item, send nothing etc)

Oh yeah, I am not expecting her to take these back, like I said I already trimmed two of them, I don't expect her to replace them, crap I didn't even expect her to replace them the first time, I washed the toddler ones without even thinking, I checked these and thought they were fine because they were the right 'size' ya know? since I don't 'know' the serging colors (well I do NOW- but didn't then) I would have no way of knowing that they weren't 8 layers in the center ya know? I had nothing to compare them with. Anyway I did e-mail her, just to let her know that there was a problem that she might need to look into. ~

No I had only cut one, well now two, but one is one of the toddler ones, so out of the regular prefolds that I thought were premiums, I have only cut and altered one of them.
but I have used them for weeks, I wouldn't return them, nor expect them to be taken back at this point. I was up in the air about e-mailing her, I don't expect her to send me more free diapers, I just didn't want to e-mail her and have her think that was what I was after ya know?
Anyway I told her I don't expect/want anything more, I just wanted to let her know!
(but I am probably going to cut up more of the prefolds! now)

Marnie,

I think you did the right thing.
I know I would want to know something like that and the suggestion about organizing the stuff according to stitching etc was all very positive suggestions. Nothing bishy

ITA. While she's popular, she's had 2 times to make up the mistake to you and both times hasn't sent you the right prefold. I would bring it to her attention and hopefully she'll be as understanding as she was the first time.

Good luck!

I would've let her know what happened, and asked her NOT to send you the diapers at her expense. Instead, I would sell the free toddler prefolds, and use that money to buy the premiums if you still want them.
