I'm interested in CDing when we have a babe, and I've never done any sewing.

Can anyone recommend a good machine for diaper-making? Is it possible to get a good one (for this purpose and lighter duty) for <$200?

Thanks!

It is possible to get a cheap machine, if all you want to do is sew a straight line, or not much more than that. I have made a ton of CD's, and my advice would be to get a machine that is very easy to clean, and that you can do a lot of the maintenance for yourself. Diaper flannel is very linty, and that lint gets everywhere in your machine, making some seams less strong, (it affects your tension) and if you have a built in cutter, like I do, sometimes it won't cut. Be sure to clean your machine after every use. (ok, I always forget, but I tell myself at the start of every session that I will clean it.) Good luck.
