Your opinions would help!

(also posting this in bfing forum)

I'll try to be brief:

DD only nurses from one breast (right).

Yeast infection on nipple flared up BIG TIME w/ pregnancy (i'm 3.5 mos). One one the MOST PAINFUL things I've ever experienced.

Started nursing occasionally on dry left side (with much encouragement.)

Yeast on right seems to be subsiding, areola and surrounding skin is healing.

BUT her latch is still SO PAINFUL on the yeasty right side and I'm starting to wonder if it could be due to pregnancy. ??

The thing that confuses me is that she is occasionally nursing on the left, dry, non-yeast side and there is no pain. Would that be because there's no yeast, or no milk?

Imput will help be figure out how to best continue my treatment.

TIA!

Well, I'm 25 weeks, and for the last 6 weeks or so my nipples have been SO painful that I can't even let him latch . I think it's pretty common to have this--hormone adjustments, yk?--and I suspect has something to do with the drying up of supply.

Maybe a combination of the two?
