Anyone able to "customize" Public School Schedule?
Hi, DS entered K this year. We are on day 3 and it just seems like too much. They days are too long and the week is too long. I'd like to have him to a portion of his "school" work at home not skip the info entirely. I mean, this is K, not advanced physics. I dont want to be totally disruptive but I want to either have him miss Fridays or maybe the last couple hours of school each day.... I'd prefer the second but the 1st seems less disruptive to the teacher.

Anyone know of any precedent.. any reason I could cite that would give me a better chance of accomplishing this?

I don't know of any way. Public schools are not flexible... atleast not until high school, from what I remember and know of friends' kids. Mabye a private school??

That's why we pulled our now 11 yo out. It completely drained him and turned him into a little child that I didn't know.
