I have a small FB sitting right here in front of me and it looks huge!! Is there a huge difference between XS and small? I don't really even like FB's but would like to get a couple embroidered pockets from Fussybutt and I'm wondering which size to get for a baby that's due in the fall.

TIA

I know! They look like a medium at best, maybe a large in some other brands of diapers.

You wouldn't happen to have a picture of an XS up against a small, would you?

And, IYO, how long did they fit? What size was your babe?

I think I sold the preemie I had... But let me check when I get home.

I never used that size for my kiddo.

I'll take a picture if I still have it & if I don't, I'll get someone else to do it.

LOL!

i was thinking the same thing the other day. I bought three of them before realizing how big they are. I think it's the crotch. One of mine came with an insert.. and would you belive that thing is almost SIX inches wide? for a 7-16lb baby?!!! I'm sure it squishes up, but I just had to laugh and then tuck it away to give away with the diaper when I sell. I think they'll be great for that in between stage when nb diapers are getting snug, but the next reasonable size up is still a little too big. I remember being very frustrated at that stage with my daughter so maybe these will help fill the void this time *shrug*.
I haven't seen an XS though.. but I know someone who has ten almost new (washed and *maybe* worn) ones for $10 each (not me) if anyone is looking for a good deal on some XS ones.

wawap-That would be awesome if you could!!

Amber-I think that is what bothers me so much about this one. It's very wide! And, in general, big looking!

I have some x small FB. I haven't tried them yet, but to me they look perfect for a nb. They are narrower in the crotch too. I don't have a small yet to give you a comparison pic, but I could if you still don't have one.

The preemie fb's are so small that they have to come with their own special insert because noone makes one small enough to fit. There is DEFINATELY a size difference...it's about half the size almost. It's a teeny tiny little diaper--so cute and adorable!

They are much smaller! A little bigger than a newborn disposable plus the tabs. The crotch is narrower and they are a bunch shorter. So teeny and cute is right!
If no one's posted a pic by Monday when I get back I'll be glad to.

So, they're trimmer through the crotch? That's what really bugs me about the small. They're sooooo wide! If a pic hasn't been posted by Monday I'll let you know!

How long do babies fit into them? Makenzie was 8/13 at her last appt about a week ago, and so I imagine shes over 9 now, and I need to sell something to fund a good nighttime solution for her, and I was thinking Small but Im thinking Small would be too big as a KHW Small is WAY too big yet.

Would XS be worth getting her?

Hi, I have both XS and small FBs and have been using both on my DD. The XS FBs fit her well before the small size did. So yes, there definitely is a difference!! I loved using the XS ones .. oh so adorable and what a perfect fit. Now she uses both but has almost outgrown the XS at 9 lbs...

I need to sell these and my Kissaluvs Size 0 and start updating my stash. Am so excited... Just can't decide whether to buy more small or go for the mediums now...

Oops! Lindsay, just read your post and thought I would add my two cents since I use both Small and XS FBs. Don't buy the XS if your DD is almost 9lbs. MY DD is 9 lbs and I am using the XS at the last setting and it is already getting a little tight on her thighs and this when she is skinny. The smalls fit great and I use them for nighttime with cotton babies inserts and it works like a charm. The XS (with their own insert) get soaked quite fast and do not work for night time use for me.

Hope that is helpful.

linz, my friend had her baby and he was 8.8 at birth - small fb worked from the start. i would go with the small fb too - actually i know she is selling them pretty cheap (she doesn't post online, it is either sell to friends or trade in at cottonbabies) so lmk if you want me to ask her tomorrow at playgroup if she has more to unload.....
