I'm wondering how these two compare since there's such a difference in price:<br><br><a href="http://www.yarnmarket.com/product.cfm?action=show_product&product_id=552" target="_blank">Wool winder/Ball Winder</a><br><br><a href="http://www.patternworks.com/PWShopping/partsview.asp?action=lookup&partno=900038&subject=&catpos=" target="_blank">Wooden Swift & Winder</a><br><br>
Thanks!<br><br>

How about this one?<br><br><a href="http://www.patternworks.com/PWShopping/partsview.asp?action=lookup&partno=900034" target="_blank">http://www.patternworks.com/PWShoppi...&partno=900034</a><br><br>
You need the swift to hold the yarn while winding it.

I think the price difference is that the first one is just the ball winder, and the second one is the ball winder and the swift?

So the swift takes the place of the back of a chair to hold the yarn as you wind it?<br><br>

The swift not only holds the yarn, it rotates as it feeds the yarn into the winder...much better than a chair...or the arms of a begrudging husband <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/wink1.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="wink1">.<br><br>
