A local MDC mama gave me the carseat she used for her LO, a very nice gender neutral Peg Perego infant seat. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/love.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="love"> I can stop trying to figure out a way to con my sister in law into helping me buy a seat now! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br><br>
I am so thankful this mama was willing to give up her things to help me out.<br><br>
Now.. to get dh to clean out the car so I have a place to put the seat! LOL

Aren't hand-me-downs the best? One of my doula clients brought an infant swing and bouncer by yesterday. So great, because we didn't register for these items and I certainly wasn't going to PAY for them, so I'm really excited. I also have a friend who will lend us an infant car seat (we're getting a Britax Marathon but I'd like a removable seat for the colder months when the kiddo is a newborn). Yay for generous mamas!!

They ARE great! I was expecting generic ye old Graco carseat and instead she pulls out the box (yes she kept the box too! So organized...I envy her. LOL) and its a Peg Perego. Daaaaamn! I think thats the best handmedown I've ever gotten! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/thumb.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="thumbs up"> I love the fact that its not plaid navy blue, or dull faded out almost green but not really. You know how Gracos older seats didn't have much color variation in them. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br><br>
And nice score smokeylo!! Thats awesome!

I might be missing something, but how can a car seat have a gender? <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/dizzy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Dizzy">:
