OK I love my mooncup and I saw no reason to keep pads around so I gave them all to my SIL. I have been battling a yeast infection for about a week and I got the Monistat 1 day thing and used it 2 nights ago. Tonight AF showed up. The packaging said that if you had AF to use pads but I'm not sure if that meant just for the night when you inserrted the ovule or for while afterwards. So since I didn't have any pads I just used my mooncup. Is there still Monistat up there that needs to come out or am I okay to use my Mooncup? The itching is completely gone so I think that the infection is gone.

I always took that instruction to mean just for the days you are actually using the medication. I'm also not sure cups pose the same difficulty as tampons in the first place. You might want to rinse your cup with vinegar once a day just to be sure any residual yeasty beasties don't camp out on it.

Thanks. That is what I was thinking. I usually wash the cup daily with Dial soap and then a spray with some tto and spring water followed by a vigourous rinse in hot water. Probably a little overkill but I will add a nice splash of vinegar to it.
