I'm still overwhelmed by all the changes going on in terms of nutrition due to allergies and such, but I'm concerned about yeast.

I've read on a few posts about yeast but it was just in passing. Not a lot of information was presented because the readers were already "in the know". I am not

My daughter had too many courses of antibiotics for ear infections before I figured out the dairy connection. By the end she had a yeast diaper rash which occasionally flares.

Can anyone explain yeast overgrowth to me? I know HOW it may have happened (too much antibiotic) but how do I get rid of it? My daughter has been OFF her probiotic the last week since she's been suffering from a GI bug and hasn't been able to eat anything except Mommy's milk. Now that she IS starting to eat it's just toast and saltines until she shows interest in something else. The diarrhea is gone though, HURRAY!
