Haha! The elephant nose actually goes on the bottom, so not really. I think zoofitters are really cute, but no good for CDs.

2nd there is no mention whatsoever of any waterproof layer.
I've seen these covers by Carter's in Baby Depot (I Think) and they were definately decorative only
