I have kind of a 2 part question...

1... I am really worried about this baby being in the right position. DS was sunny side up and I would like to avoid that. I am going for a VBAC so I want everything to be in the best position for that... what kinds of things can I do?

2... I have heard that sitting on a yoga ball is good? Something about opening up the pelvis and tilting it? I would like to get one to sit on (since I know sitting reclined on the couch is bad... right?) but how do I know what one to get? Or what size? Where can I get one?

Thanks ladies!!!

definitely check out the ofp websites.

yes a yoga ball is great to sit on since you tilt forward sort of naturally on them. you need to find one the right size for you, I think you can order them by your height--but someone probably knows more.

my first was also sunny side up, but I was very careful about my position for my next two and they weren't (got to avoid that back labor!).

good luck!

I can't attest to how it affects position yet, but I know one thing-- it feels WONDERFUL. Seriously makes my poor aching hips and pelvis feel so good to sit on it. It's worth getting one just for that, and I definitely plan on using it during labor.
