I noticed the stronger BO, but I blame that on lacking energy to shower each morning.

I heard the smell of your cervical mucous can change, but I have not heard of breath changing... interesting!
My DH never smelled it on my breath, but during my labor with the homebirth, when I was in early active labor, he said he could tell the baby was coming because when he came back in the house after I sent him on an errand (because he was nervous and I wanted to labor in peace and joy for a while, and it was a great decision!) he could smell a very strong scent from me, a sharper scent. My water hadn't broken, but I was filling up the house with some sort of birth smell.

As for armpits, glad it's normal , because mine are sweaty and smelly!
Until my AF came back 3 cycles ago, all the 2.5 years I was nursing my son and not having periods, my armpits never even needed anything. I was scentless like a child. Then they got stinky, and my period started. Then I got pg, and now they reek.
Yep! Haha...not this pregnancy though, but last month when I had an early M/C he mentioned it and with my last baby he talked about it all the time. I keep laughing and thinking maybe that means this one is a boy ;-) But I doubt it. Everything's just been completely different this time than with my last 3 girl pregnancies. I always thought he was nuts for saying my breath was different though! I'm rockin' the pit funk too. It's always worse when I'm doing dairy so it's probably hormone related but I hate it!
DDC crashing -

My DH claims that he can smell when my period is due, however, he refused to be trained to be a human ovulation predictor (dangit, because that would've been really handy), and his track record with identifying pregnancy is mixed. Apparently, impending menstruation and gestation smell pretty similar. When I've smelled like my period is due for over a week, it's definitely time to test.
Thanks for crashing, MeepyCat, because I'm glad to know there's another. My dh can also smell impending ovulation and impending AF, which does smell similar to pregnancy. The difference seems to be the smell is a brief window (which he sometimes misses) for AF, but continues for pg. I record it in my chart. It is not reliable enough to be the human predictor, but it is an interesting data point.

Very interesting about the impending labor smell, crunchynerd!

And all the pit smell stories. I think I'm noticing that, too. There were so many other things to blame it on, but there was some stinkin' this week.
My favorite teacher in high school told me one time that her husband could tell when she was on her period because her breath changed.

I thought it was gross and weird at the time. Now I think it's pretty cool, though maybe still a bit weird! (and on an unrelated note, this same teacher was at my baby shower and told me that she had a midwife when her son was born and that her grandkids were born at home and use cloth diapers)
