Hi all!

I graduated with a Bachelors in Sociology in May and am a proud BFing, CDing and BWing mama to Alexandra, who is 9 mths old. I am interested in becoming an LC because I love, love, love breastfeeding and want to help other Moms be successful. I understand that with a 4 yr degree I need to complete 2500 hours in consulting.

We live in a rather small town (24k) with one hospital and a WIC program. What are some options I'd have for consulting? Our hospital also has a "Baby Weighs" program which meets twice/week.

The 2500 hours seems a bit daunting, and I'm not sure how long it would take to fill those hours, but maybe it wouldn't be as long as I think! I'll be staying home with my children until they are in school, so at least another 6 or 7 years so it would be nice to be getting something done while I am home!

Let me know what advice you can offer!
