First,DD gets a bath with mama and nurses a little bit in the bathtub. Next we put our jammies on and then I put lotion on DD. Then we sit down in the glider and nurse and I usually read about 2-3 books. Lastly we lay in bed kiss each other night night and Felicity usually latches on on and off and nurses trhoughout the night. Whats your routine?

We start out with a few bedtime stories, followed by a warm bath. Then Maddie gets a baby massage and nurses. After burbing, dd gets into her swaddling blanket and goes into my front carrier. I dance/walk her to sleep, and then wear her for a few hours until we go to bed together. I usually read for about an hour and then we nurse again and drift off to sleep.

i am still trying to come up with one. it's evolving as DD is only 3months (where has the time gone?!). we start out the routine by puttin gon "nightime dipie" (yeah, there is a whole song for it!). i am taking an infant massage class so then i do that. then nursing and she falls asleep at the magic boob. when she is older i plan to add some books in there *if* it doesn't make her too excited (i can't read before i go to bed because it acts like tv for me and hops me up...)

-lights dimmed and tv turned off around 8:30pm<br>
-change diaper<br>
-walk around rocking and softly singing<br>
-lie down and nurse to sleep at about 9pm<br><br>
There's not really much to it. We don't do a bath because it seems to get him more riled up actually and I prefer not to bathe him everyday. He usually goes down pretty easy but occasionally I have to switch sides several times before he falls asleep. He will generally wake again to nurse around midnight and, unfortunately, every 2 hours after that until about 7 am.

Around 8 pm we brush teeth, change diaper and put on pyama. Then in bed we read a few books and then DH usually leaves and she nurses to sleep. I get out of the bed or stay in bed with her depending on what I want/need to do.<br><br>

DD eats food in high chair at 5:00, then maybe plays a bit and then has a bath (or plays right after the bath for a bit), I nurse her, and then put her in her pouch & bounce around w/ her while I watch TV or eat dinner until she falls asleep (usually ~6:30 or 7). She sleeps for about an hour, and then gets up for another nursing, and then I move into bed w/ her and do crossword puzzles or watch TV until I go to sleep at 9 or 10.<br><br>
This all used to be later, but DD started getting up really early in the morning, no matter what time she went down at night, so we moved everything up an hour at night to make sure she gets enough sleep!

We have fallen into a very natural bedtime routine for us. Dd takes a bath, we use lavender bath wash, she plays in the bath tub for awhile. Then I put her bedtime diaper on her and she gets a lavender lotion rubdown. I put her pjs on her and we rock and nurse to sleep. Once she is completly out I put her down in her crib where she will sleep for 3 hours until waking to nurse and she stays in bed with me b/c after that she wakes every 2 hrs to nurse. We start the routine at about 6:30 or 7 and she is out in NO time at all!

my dd is 3 months, so it's an evolving thing. she started going to bed at 7:30when she was 3 weeks old, she's a really good sleeper. if we're out, we try to be home by 6-6:30.<br>
lights used to get turned down, but now the sun's still up! we nurse, she gets changed into her nighttime diaper , pj's and sleepsack.<br>
she has a stuffed flower on her changing table that was the first thing she started babbling to this past week, so we say goodnight to flower. she smiles every time flower "kisses" her, mama helps with the kissy sound effects<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/winky.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink">.<br>
she gets snuggled by mama and dh, and one of us puts her in her sidecar, on her side, to cure the bald spot paranoid mama made in the beginning, being afraid to let her not sleep on her back. i sing the made up songs my mama invented for me, and then she has a nature/music noise thingy attached to her co-sleeper, and she sleeps to cricket sounds. so does mama when she goes to sleep!<br>
there's definitely lots of being read to in her future bedtime ritual. and we tell the moon goodnight when amma nurses later in the night and she's outside the window. i tell her the moon's keeping an eye on her, she was born within minutes of the february snow moon/hunger moon, so i'll tell amma she's her special night-time friend for sure!

Our routine is simple. I put DD in her nighttime dipe and pj's, we brush our teeth, and I bring her to daddy for goodnight kisses. Then I bring her into the bedroom, singing, "it's time for bedtime" on the way; and then I nurse her to sleep.

our bedtime routine pretty much goes like this:<br><br>
bath<br>
lotion/jammies<br>
bedtime snack<br>
brush teeth<br>
pick out books<br>
jump on bed while mama sings "5 little monkeys"<br>
kiddies snuggle up between mama and papa and read 2-3 books depending on length<br>
lights out around 8:00/8:30<br>
5-10 minutes of 2 yr old ds yelling "nighty nite! yuve youuuuuu!" and 4 yr old ds having the giggle fits<br>
then things calm down and kids zonk out and mama and papa sneak out to have quiet time until about 10:00! (we <i>love</i> this time of day <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> )

DD usually takes a bath (sometimes before dinner sometimes after--she eats dinner in the nude if the bath was before dinner and gets a second wipe down after eating <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">)<br><br>
Then PJ's/dipe<br><br>
Then she "says goodnight to the street" (usually with daddy but sometimes with mommy) and lowers the living room blinds.<br><br>
Then nursies in bed. Sometimes if she's restless we sing or tell stories while she's nursing. BUt if she's really sleepy just quiet nursies and that's that.<br><br>
This is all pretty loose though, sometimes if she's been up late cause of guests or hangng out wth Grandmother or her Aunt and Uncle (we all live next door to each other) it's just pj's, nursies in bed, and goodnight DD.<br><br>
She's almost 18 months now. When she was younger she had to be worn in a Mei Tai, while nursing and being bounced on the ball, while mommy sang. Boy, was I glad to make the transition to lying in bed!
