Hi-
I'd really like to hear about your older DCs experience in Montessori (ages ~7 and up). The good, the bad, how it is different from traditional public school, what your child liked best, etc.

I don't know much at all about Montessori schools and really appreciate the input.

thanks a lot

My older, is now 9yrs old, and she's been on montessori since she was 4.

All I can say is that this is the time you see them bloosom. She is very independent with school work, she is smart and willing to help her school mates. At home sh is very attentive as well. When she was in 2nd grade she was more messy and it took her such a long time to learn multiplication. But seriously she is just brilliant. she loves the montessori method.
today I visited their calssrooms, I have a 3 yr old, a 7 yr old and my 9 amost 10 yr old. I was able to see the diference in each of those classroom, and I think that this time is their best time at school. The teacher was working with two kids giving them a lesson, while everyone else worked on their own materials very quietly. I love montessori.

Do you have specific questions about the method?
