Hello! I am a CD newbie with a baby due in August. I think I have most of my NB and S diaper stash at this point, but I would like to know which fitteds you love and why you love them. Same question for AIOs.

I like side closing fitteds. I also like quick dry. My faves are righteous baby, mudpie babies, tykie diapers, and valor kids. I also like bizzy bee hive, but the snaps in there are a little tricker to get in straight. I recently bought a lot of liz cloth fitteds and I like them but I think there is quite a size difference between the 1s and 2s. (www.orangestarfish.com has some in stock and free shipping, though, if you are interested).

For Aios, I have some true aios that are front snap that I really like for the diaper bag because they are not bulky at all but I don't know their name. Dh uses HH mostly during the day while I am at work, he likes them because they have velcro, I like them because pockets dry super fast. (I line dry aios and covers).

I like Snoogie Snaps fitteds and Ecobaby Grow With Me fitteds, because they are soft organic cotton.

Favorite fitted, that is a hard ? there are so many I love fussybutt is proable my top favorite but very hard to get so next would be Mudpies, Mutts, Little Fishy, SOS and Luxe. Ok I have a lot of favorites.

As for AIO's well that is an easy one I just love my VB AIO's. I have not found one to beat them. I am a sucker for a emb. VB AIO. (www.mommyslittlesweetie.com GREAT WAHM

I also love my Very Baby AIOs (you'll see them referred to as VBs!). I buy mine from www.flutterbybaby.com for the most part but I think you can find other VB stores at www.verybaby.com. And though they are hard to get now I do love the SOS fitteds that I have (Suzie One Size... www.sosdiapers.com)

I also still use my Baby Greens Growing Greens one size hemp diapers as well and still like them too.

AIO's: I also love the Very Baby Very Basic AIO -- very trim and work great. My other favorites are Lucy's Hope Chest and The Calico Baby -- I like LHC because they are side-snapping, and she has got AWESOME prints!! Plus, right now, she doesn't ever close to customs. The Calico Baby also has great prints, and her Ultimate AIO is very nice -- the changeable snap-in soakers are great -- just remember to order more than the one that comes with!

Fitteds: for newborns, I like kissaluvs 0's -- this was the only kind I used when DD was first born. HOWEVER -- my NEW favorite fitted is SugarPlumBaby -- I didn't get the organic cotton or the hemp at all -- just the plain cotton quick-dry fitted -- very inexpensive, but VERY well-made. Not a lot of choice on colors, but I really don't care because they are cheap, and I feel they work! I do have several Muttaqin one-size fitteds, too -- they are nice because they are one-size and will last. But, if I'm looking for trim (the one-size can be bulky on a smaller baby), I'd reach for the SPB.

Thirding? Very Baby aio's. They are all made custom so you won't usually find an instock store with them there(sometimes CottontailBaby has a few though!). But they are the trimmest aio's or even diapers for that matter. I've never found a trimmer diaper. I adore these diapers.
Fave fitted is definitely hands-down SugarPlumBaby. She's got some instock right now at www.sugarplumbaby.com(LOTS of really adorable squishy newborn stuff, RUN!). Her diapers fit really really well, they are cheap, they are well made, and she's got some adorable fabric. She does quick-dry cotton, organic velour, organic cotton, hemp, etc. Lots of variety there. Can't say enough good things. And everything instock ships SO fast.

My favorite AIOs are Bottombumpers. They are pretty hard to get, though. I like Mother-Ease AIOs as well. I had some smalls left from when Sammy was little and they worked well for Jillian too. I passed them on to a friend. They really are a work horse. For fitteds I like Tykies, Bottombumpers, Eezi-fit and Elbees w/ side snaps.

You should wait to buy any diapers bigger than a small until you have your baby. Every baby is shaped differently and won't fit diapers that other may. You'll see what fits best in the small stage then you can move on from there.
Happy birth!

I haven't tried HHs, but the quick drying of pockets appeals to me. So far, I have very few AIOs. I know there are some advantages, #1 being ease of use for dad's or sitters, but the one I have took forever to dry. I don't think I'm going to like having to run the dryer twice every time I wash them? Maybe pockets would be better for my needs?

What do you love about the VB AIOs? Fit? Cuteness? Easy care? I think I want some more AIOs in my stash, but I'm not quite sure what I want yet. I want something easy for my husband to use and that doesn't take forever to dry.

That's the second recommendation for Snoogie Snaps. What do you like about them?

Thanks for the recommendation. I have seen the SugarPlumBaby fitteds and have a dozen Kissaluv 0s on hand. I'm looking forward to using them. I've heard nothing but good things about them for newborns.

Sage and sane advice! I think I am pretty well stocked up on NB and S diapers with a small amt of variety. I don't know that it's a wide enough to try everything out there though.
I see so many recommendations for so many lovely diapers, it's hard to pick and choose. I do have about 1/2 doz mediums, but I'm trying not buy much in that size because I would like to try different things. My NB/S stash is largely Kissaluvs and Poochies for fitteds and CPFs with a mix of wool, fleece, and PUL covers. I'm kind of wishing I'd branched out a bit with the fitteds in that size, but at some point I have to say "enough!". LOL!

for fitteds i love patchwork pixies and lilwitchy britches sos's are nice too but so hard to get. i also have some fitteds that i love from esbaby.net and sugarplumbaby.com.
the mutts are great too but the snap placement is a little annoying to me.
for aio's i like mudpies, valor kids, muttaqins and patchwork pixies.
all of these are well-made, come in nice prints, and are very absorbant.

They are super-duper soft and comfy, and you can get them with metal snaps, and I like the design, and they come in beautiful green and brown colorgrown organic cotton. It helps that they're attainable and affordable.

Wow. Resounding recommendations for those two. I will definitely try to get my hands on each. It looks like the SugarPlumBaby is more likely, but I will definitely try to get a hold of a VB AIO to try as well.
