I thought with berry season approaching, it would be fun to see what everyone does with their 'you-pick' treasures. :

I am fairly new to cooking in general, so we mostly have just eaten them in the past. I will probably freeze some this year, especially blueberries as I love blueberry smoothies. Other than that, my aunt gave me this recipe a few years ago, and I cannot wait to make some!

Honey Blueberry Butter
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1/2 cup blueberries
1/4 cup honey

Bring blueberries and two tablespoons honey to a boil on medium heat. Boil 3-5 minutes, stirring constantly, until mixture has thickened and reduced.

Let cool. Add remainder of honey. Fold in softened butter.

I like to strain the blueberry-honey mixture through cheesecloth before mixing it with the butter, it gets rids of the skin and makes the butter smoother. My aunt prefers the marbley texture you get if you don't strain it Either way is good, I just thought I'd throw that out there.

So what do you do with your berries? I need ideas!

I was gonna say smoothies but also I put them on yogurt and cereals. Make breads with them. Fruit salads.
