I would like your opinions on tomatoes and greenbeens. What kind has worked well for you?

Any kind of tomatoes can be canned... but I like to use a meatier type. I grew Mama Mia's, a roma type, last year that did very well and canned nicely.<br><br>
I have no idea on the green beans. I never can mine, I freeze them. We usually grow a purple bean so that we can see them better <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">

I like to can tomatoes. I normally just can them whole being that what I use the most of. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/yummy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="yummy"> Last year I had over 30 plants <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> It was such a cool year it took forever for them to take off. By the time they got to producing I was preggo and we where pretty sure we where moving. I didn't get many canned. Fortunately I had a good friend who picked and canned them for her family <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/thumb.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="thumbs up"><br><br>
As to green beans I freeze them. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/yummy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="yummy">
