Mine is very simple:

Raw goat milk kefir
1/2 fresh organic mango
one egg yoke
spoonful of raw unheated honey

DS likes:

Raw milk homemade yogurt
raw cream
2 egg yokes
half a banana
half a tablespoon or raw chocolate powder
a large spoonful of raw honey

DD likes:

Raw milk yogurt
raw cream
2 egg yokes
4 or 4 strawberries
large spoonful of raw honey

Splash of OJ
Handful of frozen strawberries
One sliced banana
Bunch of kale
1TBS of flax meal

Blend until smooth.

It's very simple, but also very nutritious.
Right now our usual 'base' is plain yogurt and some sort of juice (whatever is in the fridge). If we're out of juice I'll use milk. Now that ds seems to have outgrown his dairy allergy though, I'm going to switch back to using kefir.

The rest completely depends on what we have around. This could include: fresh or frozen fruit (I usually do frozen unless I've got something fresh that needs to be used up), typically some sort of berry and a banana; spinach; avocado (makes it nice and creamy)...what else? REally, smoothies take just about any ingredient it seems. Aren't they the greatest?
I'm very simple minded when it comes to smoothies:

crushed ice
frozen berries or fruit
1/2 banana
a little splash of vanilla
and some milk

That's generally all I use. We love 'em.

european style yogurt from TJ's and mango pulp, roughly half and half

Yogurt
OJ
A mixture of either frozen peaches, blueberries, or strawberries
a couple baby carrots
handfull of baby spinach
ground flax seed
cinnamon
coconut cream concentrate (diluted with about 1/4 cup water)
frozen strawberries
banana
raw milk
ice

Sometimes I do mango and pinapple with banana for a tropical one! Coconut milk makes them SO YUMMY!
dash of blueberry juice (or pomegranate juice)
1 cup frozen fruit
6oz of smooth yogurt
1 egg white
2tsp flax meal
1 banana
a pinch of brown sugar or honey

I don't use ice, and I use my food processor to blend. With the frozen fruit it comes out thick and slushy. If you want it thinner, add more juice.

Mmmmmmm!!!!!!! I love blueberries!!!!

Why do you use the egg white? Does it make it sticky or gooey?

I don't measure anything, just kind of guess at amounts.

1 or 2 bananas depending on how fast I want to use them up or how big of a smoothie I'm making
yogurt
honey
coconut oil
raw egg yolks -- usually two or three
frozen fruit, usually peaches or strawberries

We have these at least three times a week.

My mom just gave Hope a huge bag of grocery and kitchen related toys including a mini-Tupperware pitcher. Now her favourite game to play is to pretend she is the Costco lady making smoothies and giving out samples!

It's sooo cute!

We use:

Frozen or fresh berries, which ever we have on hand
Juice of some sort, usually OJ or AJ
coconut milk
ground flax seeds
yogurt

And whatever else we can find around in the cabinets!

Is it safe to add egg yolk raw to smoothies?
I've never tried it but would entertain the idea, due to my ds not liking eggs!
BTW we do buy our eggs locally and organic!

We tend to use whatever fruits we have around the house, but my personal fave is frozen mixed berries, with a couple spoonfuls yogurt just for creamy texture, and a few spoonfuls of juice just to get it going in the blender. I love the very intense berrry taste.
