I'm going right off topic here, but I found out less than 48 hours ago that my Mum had a brain tumour. She had emergency surgery this morning.
Things look positive so far, but I would appreciate prayers. I hope that's not out of line, and not too much to ask.

It's amazing how quickly your life can spin out of control. I had been thinking that my 2 losses were the worst possible thing that could happen to me. I was wrong.

Please keep her in your thoughts. Much love xxx

I firmly believe it saved my husband's life after his accident (and many of his doctors would probably agree with me).

Prayers and good thoughts being sent your way and to your mom. I can sympathize and unfortunately do know what it is like to find out the diagnosis of a brain tumor in a parent

Thanks everyone. Mum is awake, but not out of the woods yet. She had a brief stint back in theatre yesterday. We are still awaiting final pathology results, and it is safe to say that she is a wreck.
I hope we get them soon so she can relax and worry about getting better.
She will likely be in intensive care for the rest of the week.

This happened to my mil and she is doing great now. I'm sure there are dramatic variations within the details, but she is really well now. Stay positive- you can handle this.

Great news - no cancer! It was benign tumour. Mum is still in ICU, not sure for how much longer. She is not allowed to get out of bed or anything, which she is frustrated about.

It's all pretty weird, because people keep saying to me 'Oh, you've had such a tough year'. I must say that I haven't had much time to think about my latest loss, but I really, really wish that my 1st EDD wasn't 2.5 weeks away. I keep thinking that if I was pregnant still, then it would give Mum something to hope for, and look forward to. It should have been her first grandchild, and the most awesome Xmas present.

Don't get me wrong, I will be so thankful if we have her home for Xmas. But there should have been a baby for Christmas. I know I will think about it, but I don't want her to. I need her to be in a positive frame of mind, and not be stressed or worried.
