Hello everyone!

My husband works with children, and, wonder of wonders, contracted molluscum contagiosum. I haven't been able to find any good information on the effects on pregnant women. I plan on asking my OB, but does anyone else know if this sort of virus is dangerous to the baby in utero?

Thanks!

I don't! My kiddos both got it two years ago from a hot tub in Disneyworld. ICK! I know it's pretty benign and we've actually probably all had it, but no idea on how it can affect a pregnant mama. Your OB is probably your best bet!

it's just like a warty rash, there's no danger to you. :) My daughter had it on her vulva as an infant. Most kids get it on their genitals or around their mouth, and it can last up to 18 months. It's obnoxious and not the prettiest thing, but it's harmless.
