my spindle that is.

My spindle was a low worl and it fell today and the worl came off. I was looking at it and on a whim I popped the worl on the top gently banged it down a little and I think that I'm going to keep it there.

I'm getting a better spin then I was with the worl on the bottom.

I have no preference myself, but what I have noticed is that to wider in diameter the whorl, the better the spin. My CD spindles are my favorite, because of this.

Yeah- I've never tried a top whorl, but I find wider whorls to be easier to spin with. I've heard a few people say that top whorls seem to be a bit faster, though...
