I went in for my 17 week check today, couldn't find the heartbeat with the doppler. I had two ultrasounds and and there was no heartbeat on that either. No idea what may have happened, but it looks like baby passed about 2 weeks ago.

I'm still pretty numb right now, and have some decisions to make here soon. I just wanted to stop in and say goodbye to you all.

I wish you all wonderful, uncomplicated pregnancies and beautiful, healthy babies!

Thank you.

Please send me and my family strength to get through this, as well as positive thoughts for delivery, as I think that is what I am going to go with, rather than the D&E.

This far along?

If you feel comfortable, could you tell me what you did for deliviering or whatnot? I need to choose and I'm just so damn confused right now.

The first time (15 weeks 4 days) I tried to deliver, but I had a large fibroid in the way. I imagine you're not having that problem. After trying everything (I was begging) they dilated me to a ten way too rapidly (I do NOT recommend this), they ended up heavily sedating me and taking it.

The second time (15 weeks 3 days) I flipped out, panicked, and got so hysterical that DH decided they should do the D & E. I so didn't want them to do the D&C part of it, but they did, both times.

I thankfully don't remember anything after the drugs.

I'm debating on whether to post this because I was NOT good at this and I don't want to upset you further. It's a very personal decision. If this is too upsetting or just not helpful, please tell me and I'll delete it.

If I had it to do again (without the fibroid), I'd try to deliver again.

No, mama. It's not upsetting to me, it's helpful. Thank you so much for sharing

I'm not sure about the fibroid thing. I had pevlic pain in the past and consideded this issue, but nothing has ever shown up on U/S. Everything looked fine with my uterus and such today as well, so I don't know.

Thank you again.
