I thought it might be fun to talk about what wild and crazy pregnant dreams you are having!
oh wow...thats a pretty crazy dream..probably pretty easy to analyze too if you pick it apart a littleOriginally Posted by staryla
Last night I dreamed that I had two eggs--maybe chicken eggs, or maybe duck eggs. In the dream I knew it was my babies birthing day and things were getting ready to move forward. The two eggs were precious to me, and for some reason since it was the birthing day I decided to crack them open. I cracked the first one and saw the little naked bird through the still unbroken shell membrane and immediately knew I had made a mistake. The bird wasn't ready to be born yet. In a panic I tried to hold the egg so
that the bird wouldn't fall out. "Maybe it can just survive in this membrane," I thought. Then, however, I knew that I couldn't protect this little egg/bird because they would never let me bring it into the hospital. I was devastated and at about that time I woke up. So yeah, weird and disturbing dream. Hopefully I'll remember some good ones soon!
I had a very similar dream last night. I was at a hospital/ airport LOL. It was not my due date yet but, like 2 months before. I went into one of the bathroom stalls because I felt pressure and I felt down and the babys head was crowning. It was the weirdest thing because it seems so real the way everything felt. I went out and sat on a chair and gave birth. I remember my baby being so little but okay even though I gave birth early. No pain for the birth either. I was holding the baby when I woke up from the dream and I felt so happy this morning.Originally Posted by amaayeh
My latest vivid one was that I was sleeping on my stomach (ha!) and woke up feeling pressure down there. I came up to my hands and knees and felt down there. The baby's head was crowning and I gave a little push. It didn't hurt a bit. Out popped a baby boy...no blood, no mess, just a clean umbilical cord and placenta a few minutes later. No one was alarmed and dh asked if he should call the midwife. I said no and we all went back to sleep. Just like nothing happened!![]()
I had a really weird dream like that where I was on vacation on an all lesbian cruise ship and was engaging in all kinds of crazy sexual acts with these two women. Another of my friends said that she had crazy girl on girl dreams while pregnant. Maybe it's linked to us getting in touch with our bodies while being pregnant and appreciating our femaninity. That or we are all closet lesbians, hahaha.
Speak for yourself!
AMAZING! I had a dream with my last pregnancy that these two men (a gay couple) handed me this baby to hold for them at a restaurant. I said sure. It was a boy with light brown complexion (like hawaiian super long straight jet black hair which I found interesting since all my 4 babies had been born bald. Then they told me when I went to hand him back that he wasn't theirs and I realized it was MY baby!Originally Posted by jshannyn519
I typically have insanely intense sexual dreams while pregnant. So much so that they can entirely replace actual sex. And I'm a total skank in my dreams too. I'll get it on with anyone that will hold still long enough, it doesn't matter what the person's sex is as long as he/she is willing! LOL!!
I also have a lot of dreams that have elements of water in them. The ocean, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, rain... it's a recurrent theme in my pregnant dreams. I figured it was because I have a miniature ocean inside of me while pregnant, and my own little water baby.
When I was pregnant with my son (not this one) I had a dream that there was a little clear window on the top of my belly. I looked down and saw this little baby face kind of pressed up against it, with his hand up by his face sort of waving at me as if to say, "Hi Mom!" It really freaked me out because it was SO real. I checked for days to make sure that there was no window on my belly! The second part of that is that when he was born, he had the very SAME face as that baby looking through the belly window! It was totally bizarre and strangely cool to look at him for the first time as I pulled him out of me and up to my chest and to recognize him.
