I had it with my daughter 2.75 years ago and I am newly pregnant and already thinking about how I wish I could avoid GD again. It seems almost all women get it more than once.

Thanks for any stories you are willing to share.

I have 2 kiddos and unfortunately had it with both pregnancies though I did need 1 daily shot with DD2 vs 2 shots with DD1. I am praying no GD (or at least no insulin) with this bean. We'll have to wait until I'm 28 weeks to test though. I hate not eating with friends, timing all snacks/ meals but in the end, it's worth a healthy babe. I am just thankful not to have to be diabetic FT like my Dad :/

Thinking positive thoughts for you!

I had GD with my fourth child, I am currently carrying my eighth and never had it again after the fourth. I immediately changed my diet with all subsequent pregnancies, avoiding all white starchy foods and grain-based carbs. I eat mostly lean meats, greens, veggies and lower GI fruits. I also eat this way when I'm not pregnant now and have way more energy and lost a lot of weight. Good luck!
